To book a place on the Uniplaces website, you have to send a booking request first. A Booking Request doesn't mean the place you chose is booked already: it means you have requested to book that place that you want.
This means: the landlord has been notified that you made a request, and he now needs to accept that. Each landlord has at least up to 48 hours to reply.
A landlord might reply positively: in this case we'll email you saying the booking request was accepted. Or the landlord can reply negatively, in which case we'll email you saying you that the booking couldn't be completed and recommending different options.
After you click on the "Request to book" button in the listing page, you will have to provide some information about yourself, required by our landlords to assess the booking requests they get. Once you're done filling out this information, simply click the Send booking request button, and the landlord will be notified that he has a new booking request.
After submitting a booking request
As soon as our landlord replies to the request, you are immediately informed by email.
Regarding payment, you will only be prompted to pay when the booking request gets accepted by the landlord. When this happens, you receive an email with a link to complete the payment on our website. Once you complete the payment, your booking is confirmed.
